Casting is a manufacturing process during which liquid metal is poured into a mold cavity that matches the shape and size of the part. The hardened part – casting, is thrown out or broken out of the mold to further complete the process. The result of the process is affected by many factors, such as: pouring speed, cooling rate during solidification, mold temperature during pouring, material and thickness of the die coating.
