A gearmotor is an electromechanical device in which a motor and a gearbox are combined. The electromechanical drive reduces the number of revolutions, increases the torque of the working shaft, is often used in modern mechanisms and is universal for many types of equipment.
As a drive, electric motors are usually used – asynchronous AC or synchronous DC. Its main advantage is compactness, ease of installation and maintenance.
