Mechanical seals

Download additional information:

A mechanical seal is a sealing device for a pump, compressor, chemical reactor, mixer, centrifuge, etc. between their housing and shaft for separating high and low pressure cavities, made in the form of a friction pair of the end surfaces of two parts, one of which is fixed on the shaft, and the second – in the body. The main purpose of a mechanical seal is to hold liquid in a reservoir (pumps, mixers) in which a rotating shaft passes through a stationary housing.
